Die Funktionsweise der stufenlosen Tieferlegung über das schmutzunempfindliche Trapezgewinde und den Polyamid-Gewindering ist beim KW V2 ebenfalls auf einen langjährigen Einsatz ausgelegt. Bei einem Salzsprühnebelversuch entstand an den KW Gewindefederbeinen keine Oxidation.
